Middle-board replacement for X8 works great
I had two, three, and then four keys in particular on my X8 that started to drive me insane b/c 30% of the time, then more often over time, they would register louder that it was possible to get intentionally banging them. I stopped using the X8 for about year. When I turned it back on for a project, I then had a handful of dysfunctional keys, some registering double-strikes or nothing at all. Disassembly and cleaning (extracting all the contact boards and cellulose membranes) improved things a bit, but the machine was still not usable. A used replacement board from Keyboardcountry was the only replacement board I could find. Rolled the dice, and the new-used board and my X8 are working like new. Super happy to have my X8 back in operation and working flawlessly. Absolutely delighted, actually.
